About

Chidham Village Hall is a former Malthouse located at the junction of Chidham Lane and Main Road. It was built circa 1836 and became the Village Hall in 1932. Following a major refurbishment and improvement programme between 2011 and 2021 the Hall now provides excellent facilities on two floors. The ground floor offers a large meeting room, semi-commercial kitchen and completely refurbished toilets, including wheelchair access and baby changing facilities. There is also a platform lift to the first floor. The first floor offers a large stage with PA system and hearing loop and the stage is also equipped with a full DMX lighting system.

Chidham Village Hall became a registered charity in 1996 and is run by a small group of volunteers. It is available to hire for private parties etc, regular classes/events and is licensed for live and recorded music. We are always looking for new volunteers to help run this well used facility. If you would like to help, please contact the committee at the address below. We meet once a month on a Thursday evening for a fairly informal gathering in a friendly and easy-going atmosphere.
