The Film Society shows films once a month from September to May /June. We try to make sure we have a mix of the deservedly popular films, and others less well known, but that we think our audience will enjoy. Last season, for example, we showed the hugely popular ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ as well as the less well known, but excellent, ‘Scrapper’ and ‘The Eternal Daughter’. Films are shown in the theatre hall upstairs on our very large screen, always on a Friday evening. Before the screening at 8.00pm, there is a bar serving wine, beer and soft drinks from around 7.30pm, where our audiences enjoy the opportunity for a chat before the screening.
Price per film is £6.00 and cards are accepted for entrance and bar. Our films are advertised in the Village Magazine and, of course, on this website. We look forward to seeing you all then – and for more information, phone Tim Towers on
